CASA luggage Drive 2021

In September 2021, Pain to Purpose launched a drive to raise money and supplies for suitcases, toiletry bags, towel sets, and toiletries for 300 foster children. Many children are removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect, and then placed in foster care in the Victoria Crossroads area. When children are removed, their belongings are put in black trash bags to be transported. Some children only have the clothes on their backs, so having a suitcase with a towel set and basic necessities are vital. Throughout this outreach, we put collection boxes in various businesses for the community to donate items for the children. The donations came pouring in and we met our goal of 300 suitcases, toiletry bags, towel sets and toiletries for all the kids in foster care in the Victoria Crossroads area. On May 7, 2021 a team of volunteers came together and assembled the luggage sets and on May 8, 2021, the Pain to Purpose board of directors and CASA volunteers came together and we distributed the 300 suitcase kits. We thank each one who contributed. Team work makes the dream work!
