Blue Ribbon Week 2022

In April of 2022 many volunteers from several child advocacy agencies gathered together & helped set up a display on the Corner of North Street and Main Street representing  181 children removed from their home. Four of those child passed away in 2021 from abuse and neglect in our Crossroads area. The Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness display was showcased April 3, 2022 - April 9, 2022. In addition to the downtown display, blue ribbons where tied around trees, lamp posts, the band stand at the downtown square, city hall, police department, and sheriff department to bring awareness. Various agencies and businesses participate in blue ribbon week by following a fun dress code that varied throughout the week!
